In February 2024, Zhejiang Vastech Technology Co., Ltd. and Wuhan University of Technology Scientific and Technological achievements Appraisal meeting organized by China Battery Industry Association was successfully held in Hainan to evaluate the scientific and technological achievements of the project of "Control Technology and application of key materials for high-safety and long-life Zinc-ion batteries". The expert group listened to the relevant reports of the project completion unit, reviewed the relevant information, inspected the relevant products, and agreed to pass the identification after strict questioning and discussion, and the overall technical achievements of the project reached the international advanced level.

The results appraisal committee is chaired by Academician Chen Jun of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Ma Yanwei of the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. Feng Jing from Jilin University, Prof. Liu Mingjie from Beihang University, Prof. Jiao Lifang from Nankai University, Prof. Yang Shubin from Beihang University, Prof. Jiao Shuhong from University of Science and Technology of China, Prof. Gu Lin from Tsinghua University, Prof. Yu Qian from Zhejiang University and Prof. Li Fei from Xi 'an Jiaotong University are members of the committee. The appraisal meeting was chaired by Wang Jianxin, Vice chairman and executive Secretary-General of China Battery Industry Association.

After expert review, it is believed that the project breaks through the technical bottleneck of the current water zinc-ion battery, collaboratively improves the diffusion kinetics and material structure stability, improves the electrode material capacity and rate performance, breaks through the hydrogen bond network regulation technology, realizes the coordinated improvement of safety, low temperature performance and cycle stability, and promotes the development and application of zinc-ion batteries.
