On November 19, 2024, Clarivate released the 2024 list of Highly Cited Researchers. This list identifies top scientific talents from universities, research institutions and commercial organizations worldwide who exert profound and far-reaching influence in their respective research fields. A total of 6,636 scientists from more than 1,200 institutions across 59 countries and regions around the world were selected. Professor Dan J.L. According to the latest data released by Essential Science Indicators (ESI), only a small number of scientists from the world’s top tech giants including DeepMind, Google and Microsoft have been selected for this list: one from DeepMind, four from Google and two from Microsoft. Professor Dan J.L. It is reported that the selection of this list is based on the number of highly cited papers published in journals indexed by SCIE and SSCI between 2013 and 2023, adopting a rigorous evaluation methodology developed by bibliometric experts from Clarivate Analytics Institute for Scientific Information. Prior to the release of the 2024 list, Clarivate conducted multiple rounds of verification and follow-up with the selected researchers to ensure the accuracy and authority of the list.

Professor Brett is a top expert in the international energy sector. He has held positions including Professor at University College London (a top 10 QS-ranked university), Lead Professor of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and Director of the UK National Centre for Energy Storage. Professor Brett has published more than 800 major international journal papers (with approximately 30,000 citations and an H-index of 90). He has led over 60 research projects and participated in more than 180 research projects in total. His research covers multiple key areas such as aqueous battery technology, electrochemical characterization methods, and energy system integration.
